Activities of Takei Laboratory
Promoting bridging support for education and research, new product development, and practical application of life science and healthcare functional materials. We have established research collaboration and international exchange systems with domestic and international companies in the cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics, devices, and molding fields, and are making advanced use of nanoprocessing and lithography technologies.
Activity
In order to contribute to the development of new products, we are researching functional materials and microfabrication technology that undergo nano/micro surface processing.
- Injection molding processing using gas-permeable porous molds
- Water-soluble resist material without the need for organic solvents
- Highly permeable self-dissolving fine micro-needles for medical formulations and cosmetics
- Allergen testing patch for food
- Freshness and spoilage testing kit for food
- Enzyme introduction sheet for the skin
- Art makeup sheet for cosmetics
- Cell culture kit
- Anti-fouling, water-repellent, oil-repellent, antibacterial, and sterilizing functional plastic film
- Biocompatible sheets for traceability
With the aim of commercializing new products demanded by the industrial sector, we have established collaborative relationships with chemical, equipment, and electrical manufacturers both domestically and internationally. Over the past 12 years, we have been engaged in research and development within the private sector. Currently, leveraging international academic agreements and exchanges with Malaysia, Singapore, Belgium, France, and the United States, as well as experiences in English studies abroad and postings with foreign institutions, we are dedicated to addressing challenges in existing products and contributing to the creation of high-value-added new products through innovative approaches to nano-processing materials and fine processing techniques.
Through our experience in the adoption of national projects and the practical implementation of new products based on market demand, we receive annual support from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency, and private foundations through the Young Scholars Study Abroad Project. In order to cultivate engineering professionals capable of making a global impact, we actively encourage English presentations at international conferences and short-term overseas study. We proactively invest in young technical professionals from local businesses and guide students in our research laboratories to ensure they take a leading role in the global arena.
